Douglas Burton is a gunsmith trained to London standards. He specialises in Gun Repairs and Restoration.

Doug has been away from the area for a few years and has recently returned to re-start his previously successful business. There was no way for people to check that the Doug was trading anymore as he had no internet presence. There wasn’t even a listing of Doug’s phone number online.

What Allergy Take Control of Their Blog

Ruth Holroyd at What Allergy has done a great job of producing a blog on her own. There were a few things that Ruth wanted to do but she had reached the point where her knowledge was holding her back. Ruth approached Navitas Design for some guidance on why she couldn’t add some of the features other WordPress users had to her Blog.

With an hour of changes including switching to a Premium WordPress theme and the right plugins the What Allergy Blog was ready to move forward with Ruths latest ideas. All that was needed was an hours training and the way Ruth was using her blog had been transformed.

Nikki Emerson – Aylesbury based Athlete

Navitas Design have been instructed to start work on the website for young upcoming wheel chair racer Nikki Emerson. At just 22 years old Nikki has extreme drive and determination in her sport. Already performing to a high level Nikki is currently in the team for the 2012 Olympics and trains at the fantastic Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury.

Nikki (from Aylesbury) needs a website to direct the Press and fans a like to for an up to date snapshot of her currect race calendar and also to find information of previous events, positions, press cuttings and history. Nikki’s sponsers also require page space and links to their website and Nikki feels this is important to show them at various places on the website.

The website is being built in WordPress to ensure that Nikki can blog the progress of her training and more importantly those great winning moments.

I’ll be sure to blog the when the sites finished – I’m sure we’ll all want to follow Nikki’s progress.

Lizzie Mae Designs of Didcot have an E-commerce web site

Brochure Web Sites Have Their Place

Lucy Mulford of Lizzie Mae designs had a static web site which held images of stock that she carried when the web site was designed. It did not reflect the wonderful stock that she carries today so it quickly out dated. The style was nice and served a purpose of getting Lucy found on the web.

An E-commerce Solution

The business was going well so Lucy felt that she was ready to take the next step. Lucy can only currently sell goods at Craft events and fairs so in order to increase her turnover and her audience she felt the time was right for an E-commerce solution. The site needed to be easy to update as the items are of limited stock.

After some initial training Lucy is now able to add pages, create posts, update her shopping cart and also to make her stock pages friendlier to the search engine.

Big Fun Entertainment of Bicester have a new web site

Navitas Design have been working with Big Fun Entertainment – a Bicester based Disco to produce a simple CMS (Content Management Solution) web site.
Duncan Sharp, the owner at Big Fun Entertainment has a thriving a Disco and Karaoke business in Bicester and is great at promoting his business through the power of Social Media. Big Fun has a thriving Facebook following and has a Blogger page. The Blogger page came from an inablility to utilise this from their own web site.
The new web site has a blog feature built in as well as a guest book. An on going issue that Duncan had was not being able to update his content on a regular basis to keep up with events and a fresh image gallery. The new CMS site is easy to update and Duncan is now fully in control of his web site.
